I am a passionate and driven third year student at Monash University and I am currently on exchange at the National University of Singapore. As an aspiring researcher in immunology, I aim to use my passion and knowledge for science to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the greater community. My particular interest in overcoming autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis, which affect at least 1 in 100 people, is a priority for me and has unprecedented value to the community. As I am studying a double degree in commerce and science, my commerce background will help me to understand the regional market and economic environment as well as its financial capabilities to access new health resources to overcome the diseases that continue to plague our society. My long-term goal involves broadening my skills and having them transferrable outside of Australia, in order to make a wider impact.
