My research is about combining nanotechnology and neuroscience to understand the formation of neural circuits and develop innovative ways to repair them after brain damage.
My aspiration for science is to develop new and smart technologies for overcoming the complexities and bottlenecks in biomedicine. I was born and brought up in India where I completed my PhD in 2014, working in the area of retinal prosthesis for bionic vision. After moving to Canberra and being at the Australian National University since then, I am working towards developing a technology to repair brain damage due to injuries or degenerative diseases. Along with my research, I am passionate about science communication, public outreach, and service to the community.
