Biography

I have been interested in languages and other cultures from a young age, in large part due to having family members living in a range of countries. My deep interest in Asia, in particular China, is connected to my Asian heritage – an influence which has shaped my experience of growing up in Australia.

I am completing a Bachelor of Commerce while also studying Mandarin, with other interests including policy and international affairs. Wherever I head in the future, I want to use my skills to create positive change and work towards a fairer, more inclusive Australia that is both outward-looking and also fully acknowledges its Indigenous culture and history.

I enjoy documenting my travels by video and film photography and am looking forward to sharing my experiences while on exchange. I am often found absorbed in a novel, and also find relaxation walking in nature, and swimming in the ocean.
