Are you a budding TECH genius ? Apply now for the Westpac Young Technologists Scholarship
This year, Westpac Scholars Trust and The Careers Department have once again come together to celebrate and highlight the journeys of past Young Tech Scholars and use these to educate and help promising new Young Techs achieve their university goals. In the hope that one day, like many Young Tech Scholars, they go onto achieve wonderful careers and life opportunities.
Samantha Devlin, 2020 Social Change Fellow and co-founder of The Careers Department believes that “If you're passionate about tech and considering University next year, there is no reason why you should not apply for the 2022 Westpac Young Technologists Scholarship.”
“The Careers Department was built on the ethos that no Australian should be disadvantaged from reaching their career potential by their locality, school infrastructure or immediate pool of influencers.”
Samantha and the team at The Careers Department are passionate about giving students access to quality, relevant and tangible skills & training which will help them apply for university degrees/further education courses or degrees, jobs and scholarships alike.
They are so passionate in fact about the Westpac Young Technologists Scholarship, they have developed an amazing/engaging website targeted directly to Year 12 students and their teachers. The website provides teachers the opportunity to nominate students who are passionate or have potential to do something great in the tech world. Students are also offered the opportunity to join an Information Session which helps them, their parents or teachers to learn a little bit more about this scholarship/the Westpac Scholars Program, run through some FAQs, share application tips, and provides all attendees with an example application letter.
You can check out the website here:
The Westpac Young Technologists Scholarship is available at five universities across Australia. Applications are now open for 2022 scholarships. Apply or nominate someone today.
Or better still register to attend The Careers Department next Information Session to be held on the 9th November 6pm-7pm AEDT.
